How to Import Leads from LinkedIn Search
Learn how to use the outreachKoi Chrome extension to pull leads from any LinkedIn people-search page in one click — no CSV exports needed.
Building a quality lead list is the most important part of any outreach campaign. outreachKoi makes it fast by letting you scrape leads directly from LinkedIn search results using the Chrome extension.
Why scrape instead of upload a CSV?
CSV uploads work, but they require exporting data from a third-party tool and then cleaning it before import. Scraping from LinkedIn directly gives you fresh, accurate profile URLs with zero cleanup.
- Names, titles, and company names come straight from LinkedIn — always current.
- LinkedIn profile URLs are captured automatically — no manual copy-paste.
- Profiles already in an active campaign are skipped automatically to avoid duplicate outreach.
Step 1 — Run your LinkedIn search
Log in to LinkedIn and go to the People search (linkedin.com/search/results/people/). Apply your filters:
- Job title (e.g. Founder, VP of Sales, Head of Marketing)
- Company (target specific companies or industries)
- Location (city, country, region)
- Connection degree (2nd degree is usually the sweet spot for cold outreach)
Tip: Narrow to 100–500 results per import batch. Very broad searches reduce personalization and hurt reply rates.
Step 2 — Open the extension
With the search results page open, click the outreachKoi icon in your Chrome toolbar. A small panel appears showing the number of profiles visible on the current page.
Step 3 — Import leads
Click Import Leads in the extension panel. outreachKoi scans every profile card on the current page and sends them to your Lead Lists. You'll see a confirmation count like "47 leads imported".
- Only the profiles visible on the current page are imported — scroll to the next page and repeat to capture more.
- Duplicate detection runs automatically: if a profile is already in your account, it won't be added again.
- You can import across multiple search pages before adding leads to a campaign.
Step 4 — Review and add to a campaign
Go to Leads in the dashboard sidebar. Your newly imported leads appear in the list. Review them, filter if needed, select the ones you want, and click Add to Campaign to assign them to an active campaign.
Tip: Use the Lead Lists feature to group leads by persona or search. This makes it easy to reuse the same list across multiple campaigns or time periods.
Scraping limits and best practices
outreachKoi respects LinkedIn's terms. Keep the following in mind:
- Import in batches of 100–200 per session rather than thousands at once.
- Avoid scraping more than 500–600 profiles per day across sessions.
- Mix import sessions with normal LinkedIn browsing so the pattern looks organic.
