Getting Started: Launch Your First Campaign in 10 Minutes
A step-by-step walkthrough covering account setup, Chrome extension install, lead import, and sending your first automated LinkedIn sequence.
outreachKoi automates every step of LinkedIn outreach — connection requests, follow-up messages, and AI-personalized replies — while running from your own browser so LinkedIn never flags your account. This guide walks you from zero to a live campaign.
Step 1 — Create your account
Go to outreachkoi.com and click Start free trial. Enter your email and a password. You get 7 days completely free — no charge until the trial ends. Once you confirm your email you land on the dashboard.
Step 2 — Install the Chrome extension
The extension is what runs your campaigns. It controls your actual LinkedIn tab using your real browser session and IP, so LinkedIn sees normal human activity.
- Open the Chrome Web Store and search for outreachKoi, or use the Install from Chrome Web Store link on the dashboard.
- Click Add to Chrome and accept the permissions prompt.
- Pin the extension icon to your toolbar so it's easy to reach.
- Click the icon — it will ask you to log in with your outreachKoi credentials.
Tip: The extension only works when your LinkedIn tab is open. Keep LinkedIn open in a pinned tab while campaigns are running.
Step 3 — Create a campaign
Go to Campaigns → New Campaign. The wizard has four steps: Details, Personalization, Strategy, and Connection Settings.
- Details: give the campaign a name (e.g. "Q3 SaaS Founders") and set a daily action limit. 20–50/day is the safe range.
- Personalization: optionally add context about yourself and your product. The more detail here, the better the AI's messages will be.
- Strategy: choose between Sequence Steps or Goal Mode (see below).
- Connection Settings: decide whether to send connection requests with or without a note, and set how long to wait before following up after a connection is accepted.
Sequence Steps vs Goal Mode
The Strategy step is the core of the campaign. Pick the mode that fits your use case.
- Sequence Steps: you define each action (Connection Request → Follow-up → InMail), set delays between them, and choose whether the AI personalizes each message or you write a static template. Best for cold outreach at scale.
- Goal Mode: you write a single goal (e.g. "Book a 20-minute discovery call"). The AI reads every reply in the thread and decides what to say next — no sequence steps or templates needed. Best for warm prospects or when you want fully autonomous conversations.
- In Sequence mode with AI enabled, there's no need to create templates in advance — you set a goal and tone for each step and the AI writes the message per lead.
- Static templates are only necessary if you turn AI off for a specific step in Sequence mode.
Tip: If you're new, start with Goal Mode. Enter your goal, add leads, and let the AI handle the rest. You can review all AI-drafted replies before they send by enabling Review mode in the campaign settings.
Step 4 — Import your leads
Go to Leads in the sidebar, then click Import Leads. You can upload a CSV or scrape directly from LinkedIn search.
- For CSV: your file needs at minimum a linkedin_url column. First name, last name, company are also accepted.
- For LinkedIn scraping: open any LinkedIn people-search result page, click the outreachKoi extension icon, then hit Import Leads. Every visible profile is captured automatically.
- After importing, select the leads you want to add and click Add to Campaign.
Step 5 — Launch
Go back to your campaign, confirm the lead list and sequence look right, then click Activate Campaign. The extension picks up the queue within minutes and starts sending — one action at a time, with human-speed typing and randomized delays between actions.
Tip: Check the Analytics tab after 24 hours to see connection acceptance rates. A rate below 25 % usually means the connection request message needs rewriting.
